The lecture will focus on the application of current evidence and expert consensus on Achilles tendon rupture diagnostics and rehabilitation in daily physiotherapy practice. Next to recommendations on diagnosing and treating Achilles tendon ruptures, the (dis)advantages and implications of conservative and surgical treatment of Achilles tendon ruptures will be discussed.
