Neil Stewart

Neil is an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist based on the South Coast of England, working for Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. He is the spinal lead for the service and specialises in the assessment and management of lumbar spine, hip and knee conditions. Neil completed his M.Sc. at the University of Brighton and is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). He has a strong passion for education and regularly mentors colleagues, First Contact Practitioners and postgraduate M.Sc. students. He is also a rep for the National Spinal Network.

Over the course of his Advanced Practice career, Neil has developed a particular interest in hip pathology, working closely with Orthopaedic Consultants and Radiologists across Coastal West Sussex. He teaches a popular MACP course on integrating hip imaging into clinical practice and is currently developing a further course on the management of low back pain through exercise therapy.
